Thoracic surgery

Lung cancer is the leading form of cancer deaths today. Previously, mainly men were affected, but now women almost equally do so, and unfortunately it is also becoming more common in the younger age groups. Healed patients occur almost exclusively in that patient population where surgical procedure has been carried out as part of the therapy, so the role of the thoracic surgeon is indisputable in the management and set up of a treatment plan. In our office, we can help those, who see us, to receive the most optimal therapy after a targeted investigation as short as possible, without any detours. In addition to lung cancer patients, we deal with the surgical management of chest deformities, the intense sweat of the palms, and the diseases of the main airways, pleura and mediastinum (mid chest area occupied by the gullet, heart, windpipe, thymus and lymph nodes). On the examination, in peaceful surroundings, free of any external interference, we can review together the visual and written documentation and determine the further investigations required, whose arrangement we can also effectively participate in. In case the results of the tests make a surgical intervention necessary, we can also provide that.

The thoracic surgical examination is provided for us by our partner, the Buda Radiology Center.
